Selected writings of Professor György Hazai
A volume of selected writings of Professor György Hazai with the title Monumenta et Studia Turcologica has been published on the occasion of his 80th birthday. This book, Studien zur Sprache, Geschichte und Kultur der Turkvölker, (Studies of the Language, History and Culture of the Turkic Peoples), volume 14, was edited by Barbara Kellner-Heinkele, Simone-Christiane Raschmann, Claus Schönig, Gerd Winkelhane and Peter Zieme. The book contains a large number of György Hazai’s influential articles which are scattered among a multiplicity of international journals, conference publications, and commemorative volumes. In doing so, it facilitates access to this treasure trove of knowledge, not only for readers who are pursuing Turcological and Ottoman research interests, but also for those whose focus lies in related disciplines. This anthology gives an overview of a man’s life’s work in the field of Turcology, spanning 50 years, which is still up-to-date, inspiring, and can still be called cutting edge.
