CALL FOR PAPERS

A group of intellectuals, with the support of the US Alumni Association in Armenia, offers a 9-day-long intensive training course titled “Plagiarism, academic writing and rhetorical skills” taking place on August 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29 and on September 10, 11, 12 , in the Center for Civilization and Cultural Studies (YSU library, 5th floor), Yerevan.

The course is open to Bachelor and Master degree students of Armenian Higher Educational Institutions. It includes lectures by researchers educated and experienced abroad, but also assignments and practical classes which will help graduate students to develop various academic skills.

The course will be conducted by Arshak Balayan (Yerevan State University), Tigran Matosyan (Center for Civilization and Cultural Studies, YSU), Satenik Mkrtchyan (Center for Civilization and Cultural Studies, YSU), Hovhannes Hovhannisyan (Yerevan State University).

The training consists of three main units, which will address the following issues: 1. How to write course papers, essays, how to use citations/quotations, what is plagiarism, 2. How to make presentations, research proposals, cover letters, 3. How to write articles.
