Contract Negotiation, Preparation and Ratification

This course is an introduction to the process of negotiating, drafting and ratifying different kinds of contracts through practical advice and approaches. Participants in this course will have a practical opportunity to get acquainted with the process of negotiation (proficiencies and requirements that are important for lawyers when negotiating and drafting contracts). This course will give an opportunity to participants to gain an understanding of international commercial contracts, what kinds of issues to address from start to ratification.

Course Outcomes

Clear and practical understanding of negotiation process of the contract.
Understand Contract preparation and ratification process.
Arbitration arrangement in Contract, how to apply, and differences between Arbitration and National Court.
Legal opinion, when and how to use it.

Course Handouts and Instruction Languages: The course is taught in English and Armenian

Duration: 6 days (15 hours)

Class Schedule: Monday through Friday 19:00-21:30

About the Instructor:

Artyom Petrosyan graduated from the Russian-Armenian Slavonic University, Faculty of Law in 2006. In 2009 he earned his doctoral degree in Law. 2010-2011 studied in the University of Strasbourg, Faculty of Law. He is the author of a number of publications: “The role of peaceful settlement and feature of Magistrate’s and Arbitration Court, ‘United Nations’ (French), ‘Characteristics and significance of the European Convention on Human Rights within the framework of national law.”
