Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Theology, Yerevan State University and a member of ARMACAD will participate at the international conference “What the contemporary Church should do?” organized by the Global Theological Seminary in Bangkok, Thailand, May 19-21, 2010. Dr. Hovhannisyan will present a paper on “The Contemporary Challenges and the Mission of the Church: The Case of the Armenian Apostolic Church”.
In his paper Hovhannes Hovhannisyan will present the contemporary religious situation in Armenia and, especially, the present condition of Armenian Apostolic Church. The author also will pay attention to the challenges of contemporary secular ideologies and possible clashes with religious ones and structures. In his paper Hovhannes Hovhannisyan also will show the connection of the development of high technologies and religious ideologies.
