MIPT student and ASAMIPT member Vahe Tahmazyan returned to Moscow from 2-week internship in France

At the end of March 2011 two students of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Vahe Tahmazyan and Petr Kaplunovich went on a student internship to France, where under the guidance of MIPT graduate student Alexei Scherbakov and Professor Alexander V. Tishchenko they were engaged in experimental work on “Study of optical properties of monolayer of silica microspheres, densely packed on a flat substrate”. The experiments were done with the purpose of developing optical methods for monitoring condition of the microspheres in the process of deposition on the substrate. Also, students were introduced to the work of the laboratory at the University Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne. Results of intensive 2-week work are supposed to be a part of a scientific article.
