British Council Armenia

Welcome to the British Council in Armenia

We connect people with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK. Whether you want to learn or teach English, take an exam, study in the UK or find out about work in arts and society, this is the place to start.

We work with the government and civil society to advance debate, knowledge and skills and to create a wider mutual appreciation between the UK and Armenia.

We promote the sharing of knowledge and information, creating opportunities for learning and contributing to the development of people and organisations at all levels.

We organise Arts and cultural activities with local partners and host the IELTS and other distance learning examinations.

The British Council has adopted an Equal Opportunities Policy that prohibits unjustifiable discrimination on the grounds of gender, marital status, sexual identity, religious belief, political opinion, race, work pattern, age, disability or HIV/AIDS status, socio-economic background, past convictions, trade union activity or membership, or on the basis of having or not having dependants.

The British Council believe that all children have potential and that every child matters – everywhere in the world. The British Council affirms the position that all children have the right to be protected from all forms of abuse as set out in article 19, UNCRC 1989.

Recognising that our activities can have an impact on the environment, we are committed to minimising our own impact by preventing pollution and continually improving our environmental performance.
